Bricks & Scones is one of my personal favorite coffee shops from the ones that we have visited so far. If I had to describe it in one word it would be….quaint. The entire atmosphere was just so cozy. Even though we went on a gloriously sunny California day, I would absolutely love to frequent this place on a rainy day and curl up (as much as is possible in a public place) with a scone, a latte, and a book.
After walking the adorable walkway to the shop, you are greeted with a completely different vibe on the inside. Of course the first thing you notice is the spectacular chandelier hanging in the entryway. Also notable are the chalkboard menus, exposed brick walls, and winding staircase off to the side.
There are two options for seating. There’s the chic downstairs area:
And then there’s the upstairs, also known as The Study. Each desk comes with its own lamp. Oh and the greatest part? “The Library”, based on a swap-in/swap-out system. I could die.
We nabbed a corner table in the study. The scone and latte were among the tastiest I’ve ever had.
The unique environment, delicious product, and awesome perks (B.Y.O.Mug 10% off drinks, Free WI-FI, library & board games) make this place a winner for me.
If you’re ever in the area, definitely check this one out.
