The Caffeine Chronicles: Intelligentsia Pasadena

The Caffeine Chronicles

Well it’s been a long time comin’! The first Caffeine Chronicles we posted was Intelligentsia Silver Lake  and we told y’all to look forward to an Intelligentsia Pasadena edition . Now I have to say, Audrey and I are a little biased when it comes to this coffee shop because we come here a lot! We have spent many late Friday and Saturday nights sitting at our usual table in the back enjoying some good conversation to go with our caffeine fix. This location is the largest of the three Intelligentsias in L.A. and we are so happy that it’s the closest one to where we live!

We love everything about this place. The brick walls, hanging light bulbs, wooden church pews, and candles on each table.

At night (which is the only time we’ve been there) the coffee shop also doubles as a bar. Next to the coffee bar there is an alcohol bar that serves a selection of beer and wine.

Since we usually get lattes, one time Audrey and I decided to try something new on the menu. This delish thing is called an affogato, which is simply a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with a shot of espresso.

Every time we’re waiting in line, Audrey and I look at their assortment of cold pressed fresh raw juices in adorable mason jars. They have the funkiest flavors and we love reading them haha. Audrey decided to go for the most normal one: strawberry, peach, pineapple, and basil. It’s super pricey but it was super yummy plus you get to keep the jar :)

After writing this post there is one thing I really want to do…go to Intelligentsia!
